Sheona is the Director of GC Destination Insight and has first-hand experience of developing successful destinations having led one of the UK’s most successful DMOs as well as expertise as a consultant advising and working with cities and regions across the UK. As Managing Director of Marketing Manchester, Sheona promoted Greater Manchester nationally and internationally targeting businesses conferences, major sporting events, inward investors, visitors and students.
GC Destination Insight offers services to formulate strategy, evaluate initiatives, secure investment and review service performance with a clear focus on place-promotion, tourism development (sector and attraction), inward investment and capital attraction. Sheona is experienced in managing complex networks of stakeholders and provides services and her expertise to public authorities and private partners
Her areas of specialism include destination management, attraction, promotion and internationalisation strategies; benchmarking and evaluating destination performance and perceptions including peers comparison (analysis of functional characteristics, resources and delivery models); and securing commercial and public income.
