GC Insight has worked closely with the Borderlands Partnership to develop a Benefit Realisation Plan for the Deal. This has involved updates to overarching and programme baselines including Hadrian’s Wall, Place, Energy, Digital, and Natural Capital. A Sustainable and Inclusive Growth Guide was developed to inform programme and project development within the Deal.

This work builds on long term support provided by GC Insight team members to help the Partnership secure the transformational Inclusive Growth Deal from the UK and Scottish Governments in 2019, develop the case for intervention through the development of strategic outline business cases, and provide ongoing support to progress business cases to OBC and FBC.

Year One of the plan is now complete and the Sustainable and Inclusive Growth Guide was launched at the Borderlands Place Programme Conference in 2024.
