GC Insight was appointed by Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) to undertake a study to quantify the carbon sequestration potential of Argyll and Bute’s natural resources.
This provided a vision and methodology for carbon sequestration investment to underpin the local economy, its replicability to the wider region and to support green recovery plus articulate the potential of the area to attract green financial investment and understand its scale of impact.
Overall outcomes from this work included a sound evidence base, a business model and route map of the way forward to maximise the potential of investment in Argyll and Bute’s natural resources.
