Summative Assessment for the Translational Energy Research Centre

We carried out a longitudinal assessment of the impact of TERC, a national pilot-scale testing centre for sustainable energy researchers and industry pioneers.

The commission focused on the use of European Regional Development Fund capital funding towards construction of the facility and revenue funding for business support.

Supporting the client to prepare for evaluation and learn from their experiences over time, we delivered a summative assessment plan, as well as interim and final summative assessments, training on business engagement approaches, and guidance to enhance the project’s delivery as it progressed.

The study used a combination of quantitative and qualitative evidence to explore strategic alignment; progress against targets; the experiences of staff, beneficiaries and other stakeholders; and impacts to date.

This project was part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
