West Yorkshire Business Support Review

We undertook extensive consultation and desk-based reviews to understand the current approach to the design, commissioning and governance of business support across West Yorkshire's five local authorities. 

Our team assessed the scale and scope of the current provision and explored the division of responsibilities amongst partners for setting strategy, co-ordinating delivery partners, commissioning new services and generating new tools and solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of business support. Our team also looked at evidence of what works and international examples of successful approaches to supporting growth.

Our team set out principles to guide the future approach to business support complete with proposals for a new settlement on which agencies are responsible for each aspect of the process and recondensation's for the broad shape of future provision to meet the region’s inclusive growth objectives.
