Hull and East Yorkshire State of the Economy Report 2023

  • Client: Hull and East Yorkshire LEP

The Hull and East Yorkshire (HEY) State of the Economy Report 2023 provided a baseline and benchmark analysis created for the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).

It assessed the extent to which the economy had recovered from the COVID-19 pandemic and evaluated the impact of current drivers of change, including the rising cost of living, high energy prices and the continued impact of EU exit.

The study focused on key indicators related to economic growth, business activity, people and places. It identified the current position and trends over time, and laid out clear short-term and long-term recommendations on policy, investments and priorities for action.

The report is being used by HEYLEP to inform policy-making and strategic intent, including collaborative work with local authority partners.
