Identifying and promoting green growth opportunities

We reviewed 30 local authorities to understand the levers and enablers they had in place to attract and retain a locally based low carbon supply chain.
Commissioned by the Local Government Association, the research focussed on a number of themes: finance and funding; strategy; innovation; skills; business support; investment; and partnerships. Our approach included desk-based research, as well as a programme of interviews with councils.
The analysis gave the Local Government Association and its council members valuable insights on developing and growing a base of green technologies and services businesses in their areas.
