We were commissioned to evaluate the Affordable Childcare Programme, set up to support the health and wellbeing of families by combining subsidised childcare with employability support.
The programme strives to enable parents and carers to improve their employment position, progress in their careers, and better balance their domestic and working responsibilities.
Working with City of Edinburgh Council, we used our breadth of analytical skills and tools to supply robust insights into the social value of the programme and assess the effectiveness of expenditure.
The results of this project have been used to plan and resource future integrated employability and childcare support, as well as enhancing performance monitoring and impact assessment processes.
