We undertook comprehensive analysis to identify growth opportunities and skills requirements for the life sciences and chemical sciences sectors – the first such study of its kind in Scotland.
The five-month project involved desk research and extensive industry consultation to pinpoint the key drivers of change in the sectors. Our team detailed the implications for future skills requirements and for training provision to meet future demand. We also assessed the levels of current and planned investment at a UK, Scottish and regional level.
This research has been fundamental to the planning of future skills provision and influencing skills investment within one of the largest life and chemical sciences clusters in Europe.
