This provided a vision and methodology for carbon sequestration investment to underpin the local economy, its replicability to the wider region and to support green recovery plus articulate the potential of the area to attract green financial investment and understand its scale of impact.
Overall outcomes from this work included a sound evidence base, a business model and route map of the way forward to maximise the potential of investment in Argyll and Bute’s natural resources.

- WP4.1 aimed to quantify the socio-economic opportunity from carbon sequestration.
- WP6 aimed to develop three pilot implementation plans.
- WP7.1 aimed to evaluate the readiness of Argyll and Bute stakeholders and market actors in engaging the supply carbon for carbon credit markets.
