The programme sought to embed positive perceptions of the West Midlands into the international imagination and drive long-term economic benefits across the region through new overseas investment, additional export deals and attracting additional visitors to the region.
The evaluation comprised three core components: process, impact and economic evaluation involving an analysis of programme data, consultations with the programme team and interviews with national and international businesses that have been supported through the programme.
Detailed reports have set out the economic value delivered by the programme, as well as what has worked well, what has worked less well, areas of good practice, and lessons that can inform the delivery of the successor programme, Global West Midlands.
