We are very pleased to welcome Anna Mackin as our new Senior Consultant! Anna brings considerable research and evaluation experience to GC Insight, having previously worked on several high-profile projects as part of her roles for Ipsos and Coram International. 

Having led on key aspects of survey methodology, including the design of nationally representative samples, she has also designed quasi-experimental approaches for impact evaluation and has been responsible for the training and coordination of numerous overseas research partners. Although Anna’s primary expertise lies in quantitative research, she combines this with considerable practical experience conducting qualitative fieldwork.

Having spent many years working on research projects in countries with challenging political and social contexts, she is accustomed to dealing with uncertainty and change. Where circumstances demand a revised approach, she responds quickly and provides creative solutions that maintain methodological rigour.

Anna’s career in research builds on her academic training in quantitative techniques and mixed-method designs. She holds a BA and Masters in Politics from the University of Essex and a PhD in Politics from Oxford.
